I found on frequently-asked questions that I can use "guest-only", vmnet2-7 and vmnet9. but there is no detailed instruction.
I have two VMs installed on 2 host machines. These two host machines are in a company network using static IP address. My MVs are not allowed to seize an IP from this company intranet network. then as you see I can not use the default "Bridged" option.
Basically, I just want to set up a 'private network' in which my 2 VMs can communicate with each other, but they do not need to talk to any host machines on my company's intrnet.
Is my question clear?
How can help me on this? very much appreciated!!
2 wireless usb adapters should do. 1 on each host and connected directly to guest vm (deattached from host).
The two guests would then be able to communicate together and not being connected to your corporate network.
Connection would be either through an accesspoint or in ad-hoc mode.
You will ofcourse be limited by distance between the two hosts.
