How to install VMware Tools? Host: Windows 10 21H2, Guest: macOS Monterey 12

VMWare Workstation 16.2.1 build 18811642.

Host: Windows 10 21H2.

Guest: macOS Monterey 12.0.1

VMware Tools packages for macOS Downloaded in my account: VMware-Tools-darwin-11.3.5-18557794.zip

Problem: If I click "Install VMware Tools...", I got error: "Could not find component on update server. Contact VMware Support or your system administrator". The downloaded VMware Tools packages for macOS seems only for Darwin, not for Monterey. If I click darwin.iso in the package to try to launch it, I got error: "Windows can't access this disc. The disc might be corrupt. Make sure that the disk uses a format that Windows recognizes. If the disc is unformatted, you need to format it before using it." So, how do I download VMware Tools for macOS Monterey 12 and install it?

Running MacOS on non-Apple hardware such as a Windows PC is a EULA violation and can't be discussed on VMTN.

Hi,

Yes that includes virtualized hardware.

Unfortunately Apple does not allow you to run a virtual macOS or OS X on non-Apple branded hardware.

Since this violates Apple's EULA (and as such the VMware Community Terms of Use), any issues you have with trying to run macOS or OS X using VMware Workstation or VMware Workstation Player cannot be discussed at this forum.

You'll need to have apple hardware and use a product like VMware Fusion or VMware ESXi and run a virtual copy of macOS / OS X on that in order for us to be able to help you.

As a result this post will be locked.

Hope you understand,
