How to disable screen auto-fit?

Hello,

I have some software in a VM that will only run correctly when the screen is 1280x1024.  This is how the "screen" is configured in the VM's settings.  It works fine.

However, when I install VMTools in to the VM, suddenly the resolution starts to auto-sync.

How can I install VMTools, but just disable the automatic resolution changes.  (I still want the accelerated videocard driver, if possible.)

I'm not sure whether there's a "per VM" setting. However, in "Edit" -> "Preferences..." -> "Display" you can configure the default behavior for all VMs.

Can anyone confirm if "disable-guest-resolution-sync" can be done per VM?

If so, this would be great for our team as we have a couple of configs to develop for.

If not, how do I suggest this as a new feature for Workstation?
