How to configure OEL 6.4 to connect to the internet?

Windows 10 host

VMworkstation 12

Installed an OEL 6.4 guest. Need to connect to internet to connect via YUM for the latest RPMS.

Is there a simple guide or How to guide in order to configure adapters, ip addresses in order to accomplish this task.

You can configure a VM network as "NAT" or "Bridged" in VM->Settings->Network Adapter. Both can connect to the internet.

Then you can configure network in guest as you do to a physical OEL machine. If you are not aware how to do this, you can reference OEL guide.
