How to Stop loggin Guest out when host is locked

I have vmware Workstation 12 Player on windows 10 running a guest OpenSuse (Leap 42.1)  Linux.

When I use CTRL+ALT+DEL to lock the windows os, then it seems vmware logs me out of the linux guest. This is very annoying since I need to lock my compuuter if I leave the room, but I dont want the apps shut down (which happens if I log out of the guest).

Is there a way to stop this?

Welcome to Workstation Community!

If you want to lock your host system (Windows), you'd better release your mouse from the virtual machine first. The default hot key to do so is: Ctrl + Alt.

BTW, to lock Windows OS, I'll suggest using Win + L instead.

Thanks for the reply.

Im pretty sure this has nothing to do with the problem though.

The vmware app is mimized and not recieving any mouse or keyboard (host windows is) when i hit CTRL+ALT+DEL
