How to Move a Windows 11 VM to a new machine

Workstation 16 Pro

I have a Windows 11 VM that I want to move/copy to a different machine, because Workstation has assigned an automatic password and encrypted the disk I can't just copy over the files as I don't know the password.

Export to VMK is disabled - I assume also because the disk is encrypted?

I have googled for solutions, but can't find one that works - is there a way to move/copy a Windows 11 VM to another machine?

Was the VM encrypted using the “standard” Workstation encryption setting in the GUI, or the partial encryption provided by the experimental vTPM that you had to edit the .vmx file to enable?

I had to edit the .vmx file to enable, otherwise Windows 11 would not install
