How stop VMware Tools from Resetting my Text Size on 4k Display

Hello,

I am using Workstation 12 on a Dell XPS 15 9550 that has native resolution of 3840x2160 (4k).  I  have been able to move over VMs running Win 7 from another system where the VMs were running at a resolution of 1920x1080.  These VMs are now running at 1920x1080 on the Dell.  (I did this by Using VM Settings > Display and setting a max resolution and running Full Screen).  The problem is that the Text and Icons are displayed at 150% size. I can use the Win 7 Desktop > Resolution to set them to 100% and everything is the way I need it but when I make that change, VMware Tools pops up saying that I need to Log Out and back In.  If I do this the text/icons are back to 150%.

How can I get VMware Tools to stop resetting this size from 100% back to 150%?

Thank you.

Here is the solution:

> Power on the Virtual Machine.

> Click on VM > Settings > Select Display.

> Uncheck the option Display Scaling "Automatically adjust user interface size in the virtual machine".

> Log off and login when VMware Tools prompts.

> You can now change the font size within the virtual machine to 100%.

> Log off and login.
