How do I import physical PC through network

I have two PC's setup on a workgroup network and am trying to import the one into a VM image on the main PC.

I put in the IP address and the username and click next, and it gives me an error that the username or password is incorrect.

I have also tryed this on a domain network at the office before and ran into the same problem. What am I doing wrong?

Using Workstation 6, and also tryed VMware Converter.

Thank you

Kent

Is that happening after you boot up virtual machine?

Please post a screenshot if unsure.

This is happening when trying to create a new VM by importing a physical machine.

I figured that I would set the password on both machines, to see what it would do, and I have the same username on both machines.

This finaly worked, only the slave pc didn't have enof free space on the HD to complete.

It only has about 50MB free, main reason to convert to VM on main PC.

I am know copying files to main computer to free space, that I can copy back into the New VM when it is built.

It would be nice if it told on the screen that it required xMB of room on the slave PC and what to enter into the username and password fields for workgroups etc, like password can not be blank.

Thanks

Kent
