How Can I Setup Workstation To Have Different Local IP Addresses

Hi,

I'm trying to set up a Splunk environment using VM Workstation for practice just like my mentor in my lecture. As of right now, I'm kind of at a halt because I need to have multiple machines set up with different local IP's all under the same range. I noticed local IP's on my Linux VMs are both the same. How can I change them so they have separate local IP addresses in the same range.

Regards,

If you want to use static IP addresses for Ubuntu, this might be an educational way to do it versus the GUI:

https://learnubuntu.com/set-static-ip/

If you created multiple Linux VM's by copying the original VM, you might be able to just say "I copied it" when you first fire it up. That changes the MAC.

Set static IP addresses on your VM's. How, depends on the distro and desktop you are using.
