Host OS cannot shutdown if VMware console is running

Hello,

I noticed a slight glitch with the new VMware workstation. If I try to stop my host OS when the VMware console is open it does not quit itself and deny my computer to shutdown (the console state "shut down in progress"). If I manually close the VMware console before the shutdown it goes just fine.

I have only a few vm loaded in my console (about 4) and during my test they were all stopped or suspended.

I tested on two different computers (both were running Vista SP1 x64).

Any clue about what is going on, this is no big deal; but I wanted to let you know.

I attached a screenshot showing my VMware console stucked

Thank you

I ran into the same thing -- the only real glitch in an otherwise excellent experience with a new installation. Glad to know that all I have to do is remember to shut down the VMware console first.

The same thing happens to me with Vista SP1 x64. I even suspended my 2 VMs before doing an OS shutdown after updates. I'll try updating to 6.5.1 and try again.

6.5.1 probably won't help -- I'm already there and have the problem.
