Host Freeze Troubleshooting

What troubleshooting steps can I take to determine the cause of random host freezes?

I've only had Workstation Pro v15 and it is up-to-date. It has only run on Windows 10 Pro and a Dell Precision 7920T. I feel certain BIOS updates over the past 6 months are causing system instability, but it only manifests when running a guest OS with VM Workstation.

Assuming you're talking about your Win10Pro Desktop freezing, i would check both Windows Event logs & the Workstation pro logs in the first instance. You can find WS Pro in the below location:

C:\ProgramData\VMware\hostd\hostd-n.log

I've been through the Win10Pro logs and the messages just stop in system, security, and application w/o indication of any problems. I'll check the Workstation Pro logs, thanks for sending that log file location.
