Host Firewall Blocking Scans Against Bridged Guest Connection

Hello,

I'm in the process of setting up a test lab/network.  I was previously using VirtualBox without a hitch until their latest update completely killed it.

I've configured my Windows XP guest to use a bridged connection and it has full connectivity.  Unfortunately, when I try to run nmap scans against guest's IP address, my host machine (Windows 7) blocks them.  In order to get it to work, I have to disable the Network Attack Blocker on my Kaspersky application - something I never had to do with the bridged connections in VirtualBox.

I've checked the settings in Kaspersky and both VMware adapters are listed as "local."

Is there a fix/configuration that can be used so that the bridged connection is logically seen as a separate connection from the host machine's?  Kaspersky goes off when I run a scan against the guest machine - it seems to think that the host machine's connection is being scanned.

Thanks in advance for any input.
