Guests dont auto suspend when host is rebooted? (win 7 x64 ultimate rtm)

I swear this used to work automatically on windows vista.. but if i have a vm open in 6.5x, and i reboot the host.. the vm doesnt suspend automatically.. i either have to cancel the reboot, or force the restart, which is a hard reset on the vm..

Does anyone know of a workaround to this issue?

Thanks

AFAIK this has never worked.

Always suspend/ shutdown guest first before rebooting / hibernating the host

Is there a way via script to shut down all vm's, that way i could just make a batch file for both restarting and shutting down the vms.

Thanks

open a cmd and change directory to the installation dir of Workstation.

Run the command "vmrun.exe" - it should popup a helptext with further commands.

You can use this to stop / start / suspend ... VMs
