I am running VMWare Workstation Pro v16.2.5 on a Windows 10 Host. I've been having an issue with VMs locking up. I have tried multiple VMs (mainly Linux) and they all will freeze after a period of time. I cannot get them to come back and have to force them to shutdown.
I never see a resource issue in Windows Task Manager, so I have no idea what is causing this.
EDIT: After letting a stuck VM sit for awhile, I get the message:
watchdog: BUG: soft lockup - CPU#1 stuck for 22s! [systemd:1]
Then this message continually repeats.
