Geust Machine, Host SATA?

Does anyone know how I can get my VMachine runing Win xp, to recognize the my other SATA HDD Storage Drive(D:), or any and all other devices connected to my SATA ports?

I know that it has to be recognizing my SATA ports because, my ROM drive is SATA and I switched VMware to use it instead of the virtual VMware ROM.

it does not get clear what you want ... what is your host OS ?

If you use Vista, 2008 or Win7 using physical disks within VMs - no matter if IDE or SATA is almost impossible
