I run Gentoo (fairly up to date, kernel 2.6.22-gentoo-r9) and I see really weird mouse behavior when switching between the guest and host. The cursor jumps around a lot. Sometimes, I'll click out of the guest onto another window and a few seconds later the cursor will jump back to the guest. Edge flipping in KDE is also nearly impossible. Inside the guest things appear OK. It does seem like restoring a VM takes a long time, however.
The kicker is that after a reboot things are great. Mouse action is fast, etc. It seems like that entire vmware session works great, but later uses degrade. I've yet to figure out if it has to do with how long the machine has been running or if it's the number of times vmware has been launched.
I've been seeing this issue for ages, but finally decided to post after upgrading to vmware6:)
Any ideas? I've been at a loss on finding much of anything.
