Fusion 5 Win7 Sent To Workstation 8

Greetings,

Now that I’ve managed to copy over my Win7 bundle from fusion to another machine on the network running VMware Workstation 8, I’m trying to figure what to do next.

The files on the Workstation 8 machine are all broken out into individual files.

A few have names like aaaa.bbb.ccc and the rest are just aaaa.bbb file names.

My question is how do I handle the files with three qualifiers?

Also after resolving the qualifier issue do I define a virtual machine around the new files.

When defining a new virtual machine in Workstation 8 it asks to define a new VM file.

I’m confused about how to build the structure and start the Win7 VM on the new machine.

Some help here will be appreciated.

Thanks

Did you just copy the files? I do not believe that the files are compatible - the best way to have would be export the VM from Fusion as an OVF and then import it into the new Workstation environment -
