Folder Sharing issue!

Hi all, here's my scenario:

-Host: Linux Ubuntu 9.04

-VMW Workstation 6.5.2

-Guest: Win XP

Problem: I have a folder (/home/files) shared with the VMWare Folder Sharing and mounted as Z on mi guest, have all permissions to write. I can create files, folder, edit, etc.. But if I open a Word doc (haven't check any other app) after a while of working when I try to save the file i get a "Permission denied", apparently the word doc becomes read only. This happens just after a while of working with the doc, but if i open, modify and save it inmediatly everything works ok.

Any one has a clue?

Thanks

Welco9me to the forums!

Not a clue but a hint: use Samba instead. Create a virtual LAN and use standard network shares to connect host and guest. The virtual LAN is needed to have this working even when you have no physical network connection.

The problem was so obvius that i hadn't checked it. For some reasy the directory changed to read only @ the host (Why this happened? I don't know). Just gave the chmod -R u+w Directory
