I would like to request that the Remote Display feature be enhanced as follows:
RemoteDisplay.vnc.mDNS = "TRUE" \# publish this VNC service via mDNS
RemoteDisplay.vnc.name = "..." \# the name of the service to include when publishing
The goal is to provide the dynamic equivalent of having this in /etc/avahi/services for each VNC service that we want published when running:
which would result in publishing "${RemoteDisplay.vnc.name} on ${VMware hostname}" with the designated port. As an alternative (or a default), you could use the VM's name, but I can think of use cases for wanting to specify the name for the console.
