Here is the error message I received during installation of VMware on Fedora 21 kernel 3.14 . At least one result is I can't drag and drop. May not be able to use shared folders as well
" The vmxnet driver is no longer supported on kernels 3.3 and greater. Please upgrade to a newer virtual NIC. (e.g., vmxnet3 or e1000e)"
How can I attempt to fix this?
BTW there on kernel 3.3 on kernel.org I don't believe Ffedora 20 evne has kernel 3.2 which would satisfy the requirement her.

Hi
Welcome to the communities.
As error message clearly stated driver is no longer supported on kernels 3.3
So please test on lower version of Kernel.
As I said ther is no kernel 3.3. Fedora never keeps the headers for older kernels - thus the Tools could not compile. The error message also states that there would be a workaround if the virtual NIC was upgraded. How to do this is precisely what I was asking.
Also I'm been a member of the communities for several years.
