Error: Failed to lock the file

OS: Vista 64

VMWare Workstation 6.0.2 build 59824

Vista decided to install updates while VM Workstation still was running. After restart of Visata tried to open VM again and it returns this error:

Cannot open the disk "win2003xxxx.vmdk' or one of the snapshot disks it depends on.

Mar 01 15:12:00.856: vmui Reason: Failed to lock the file."

How do I proceed?

After a bit searching (sanbarrow.com) I found a solution for this problem (simply remove the lck directories, after making a copy of the vm) and my vm restarted gently.

Even you can rename the lock file with TXT extension in the lock directory.

i just rename the file with extension .lck to txt and its work for me.
