Encrypted VM is not asking for password

I created a fully encrypted VM. Yet, every time I start that VM, I'm not asked for a password.

Why am I not getting asked for a password when starting an encrypted VM?

After a night of sleep I now learned that the password isn't queried when starting the VM but when launching VMware Workstation, or, to be more precise, when the VM's configuration file is loaded by VMware Workstation.

So, everything is working fine now, and this case is solved.

Did you elect to save the password? I recently found that Workstation 17 will automatically unlock a VM by using its password from the Windows Credential Manager if you told Workstation to save it there. The behavior is the same as what happens with VMware Fusion on the Mac.

Yes, absolutely. I explicitly refused to have the password saved in the Credential Manager store.

Hi

How to block to save the password on the Windows Credential Manager

or how to disable the "Save PAssword" check mark, not appear.
