Dual-Boot and Boot questions

Hello VMware community and others,

I have one question about VMWare Workstation.

In help, I found something about Dual-Boot, and booting outside of VM but I cant understand this.

So, I have questions about this.

1. Can my Virtual Machine OS boot outside VM ?

2. If answer is yes : How to disable booting outside of VM ?

3. If that boot outside , can I select OS on Host computer ?

1. yes - if you used a physical disk when installing the guest
no if you used a regular vmdk
