Drag and Drop / Copy files to host fail

Hi,

I have new laptop with VMWare Workstation 15 installed.

Drag and Drop / copy files to host are activated and normally working but sometimes when I try to transfer data from VMWare to the host the Window in VMWare appears "copying file .... from virtual machine" but then hangs and nothing happens.

The only solution then is to end VMWare Workstation via Taskmanager and reboot the complet host.

This problem I never had in my old laptop with VMWare Workstation 11, 14 or 15.

At the beginning I thougt it could be a problem with the old VMWares which I copied from the old laptop but the same behaviour I have in a complete new installed VMWare (Windows 10).

How can I solve this problem?

Did you ever get to the bottom of this? I've recently started getting the same problem on VMWare Workstation 12 even though nothing has changed (other than some Windows 10 versions). It happens on multiple VMs and I've tried removing and reinstalling Tools but it's made no difference. It's also intermittent so it might work once but the next thing copied over hangs mid-copy and requires killing the process in TaskManager.
