Drag/Drop and Copy/Paste not working on VMWARE workstation 11

Hi,

I am using VMWare Workstation 11. I can able to do drog and drop over my guest system ubuntu. I have problem on Guest machine on Windows XP. i can't able to use both copy/paste and drag and drop over my guest system XP.

i am using Win7 on my primary OS.

Can any one please help on this.

Do you have VMware Tools installed?

Please allow me to step in here. It is not my thread, but I am facing the same issue.

In the past I could drag and drop from host onto the desktop of the vm. It is not possible.

I checked VM in the toolbar - Install VM Tools is greyed out. Assume it is installed then?
(how to see if it is btw?)

what other way can I use to copy a file from host into vm.

using windows 7 x64

and vmware workstation v11
