Disable white border around player

Is there a way to hide/disable this white border?

I am recording the screen and it looks not good in videos.

Try switching to light mode

Sorry this defeats the purpose of using dark mode.

You asked for a solution, I responded with the current known solution.  Feel free to start a service ticket with VMware to complain about the issue.  Personally, on my computers I can't stand dark mode; I only use it on my smaller devices like my phone... I understand that is a personal preference, though.

To disable the white border around VMware Player Workstation Pro, you can follow these steps:

1. Close VMware Player Workstation Pro if it's currently running.
2. Navigate to the installation directory of VMware Player Workstation Pro. By default, it is installed in "C:\Program Files (x86)\VMware\VMware Player" on a 64-bit Windows system.
3. Locate the file named "vmplayer.exe" in the installation directory.
4. Right-click on "vmplayer.exe" and select "Properties" from the context menu.
5. In the Properties window, go to the "Compatibility" tab.
6. Under the "Settings" section, click on the "Change high DPI settings" button.
7. In the "High DPI scaling override" section, check the box next to "Override high DPI scaling behavior."
8. In the drop-down menu below, select "Application" from the options.
9. Click "OK" to close the "High DPI scaling override" window.
10. Click "Apply" and then "OK" in the Properties window to save the changes.

Once you've completed these steps, launch VMware Player Workstation Pro again, and the white border should be disabled.
