Deleted snapshots & linked VM clones

Hello, guys!

I have a problem with staring linked clones in case of deleted snapshots. Would be appreciate for your help.

So I've cloned my main VM to work on linked clones till it it became a 350 gb monster and I've decided to decrease its size. The smartest idea I've got is deleting all the linked snapshots. And once I did it - I was not able to run linked clones anymore (even though all the files of clones are not damaged or deleted).

Errors I have on all the linked clones I've deleted snapshots for:

"File not found: Windows 10 x64 2-000011 (or another number).vmdk

This file is required to power on this virtual machine. If this file was moved, specify the new location."

Once I try to open NVMe settings:

"The parent of this virtual disk could not be opened."

Please help me to restore linked clones or information I have on them. Thanks!

I'm a bit confused. You said that you've deleted all linked clones, but you also say that they still exist!?
Anyway, what happened to the parent virtual disk? Has it been modified?

What may help to find out what's worng, is one of the linked clone's vmware.log. It should contain details about the missing .vmdk file(s).
