DHCP and NAT stop working after linux kernel update!

OS : Fedora 17 x86_64, up-to-date. kernel 3.6.1

VM : 9.0     when install, I has patched workstation use the vmware-9.0-and-kernel patch.

At beginning all work fine. But after an update of Fedora, DHCP and NAT stop working. All seems OK. but:

1. Client os can't get IP from dhcp.

2. NAT failed.      If I assign static IP to Client's NetworkCard,  It can finish PING between client and vmnet-8, but can't NAT.

This case also happened at some time in the past, for EX, while VMware 8.x on Fedora 17 x876_64.

I havn't any detailed log or information. If need some file, please tell me.

at serval minute ago, I remove vmware workstation 9.0 cleanly and reinstall it. It works. Orz.

My previous vmwks is updated from 8.0.4, and 8.0.4 is updated from 8.0.3,and during those time, the kernel updated serval times. I don't know how the boring problem happend.

anyway, to OS, format and reinstall. to APP, uninstall and reinstall it.

Have you missed somethings in this files "/etc/sysconfig/network" and  "/etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/ifcfg-eth0"?

Cheers, Udin

I have never touch those file directly. what I modify network config is modify sub-network of host-only and nat network using VirtualNetworkEditor.
