DC through NAT internet connectivity issues on campus (works fine at home)

I've had this issue for a while now and had a teacher figure it out in a couple of hours but didn't show me nor explain me the solution besides adding another forwarder.

DC has internet connectivity at home (host laptop is connect through ethernet at home) but once I'm on campus the DC looses internet connectivity
(host laptop connect through wifi or ethernet results in same issue on campus)

Setup
DC connects through NAT, NAT: DHCP OFF subnet 192.168.123.x GW 192.168.123.2
DC is set as forwarder and main (and only) dns server.

Firewall doesn't interfere since it's set OFF considering it is a lab environment.
I've read that a possible issue could be a missing dynamyc NAT rule but afaik I'm using static NAT.

Any pointers on possible issues? I'm at a loss.
