Creating a test VPN using workstation

Hi,

For learning purpose I'm trying to replicate a VPN connection using work station 6, in order to achieve this I have done the following steps:

DEN-DC1

10.10.0.2

255.255.0.0

on VMNet 1

Den - SRV1 (VPN Server)

Vmnet 1

10.10.0.1

255.255.0.0

VMnet 2

10.20.0.1

255.255.0.0

created a user called VPNUser1 and allowed access

==============

VPN Client

VMnet 2

10.20.0.2

255.255.0.0

===========

Then on Den-srv1 configured Routing and remote access for remote access (dial-up or vpn client)

on XP1 I have created a new network connection and tried to connect to every interface mentioned and no joy..........

Any ideas I would be very grateful, I'm assuming i can create a dummy von connection using this softwrae

Thanks

Phil

Update to my question:

I have been able to connect by creating a vpn connection however only been able to connect to the VMnet 2 interface on den-srv1 (the vpn server) and also had to using the administrator login details to estblish the connection otherwise it failed.

I have created a user account called VPNUser1 on den-dc1 which i was tryong to connect to den-dc1 by using that login name however I cannot pickup anything from the vmnet1 interface and beyond on the vpn server
