Crash caused by MS update of Server 2008 under VMWare Workstation 7

Coming up on it's 3rd birthday ... Has VMWare ever discovered a fix for Microsoft's 10-April-2018 update to an instance of Windows Server 2008 that cause it to crash when running under VMWare Workstation 7 (7.1.6 build-744570) ??

Hi,

VMware Workstation 7 was end of life in 2011....

The issue you talk about was in 2018, somehow I don't think this will be fixed in VMware Workstation 7 anymore.

edit: Got curious.. workstation 7.1.6 was released on

Release Date 2012-06-13

which is after the reported support date (weird).
Not that it matters much as it is guaranteed that Workstation 7 is end of life.

FWIW, I'm not aware about this issue in recent versions of Workstation.
I'd say try Workstation 16 and see if it is still an issue there.
