I'm trying to use a legacy JTAG programmer on a Parallel Port. This device uses a software that requires Windows XP. So I setup a Windows XP VM and tried to perform programming and erasing operations without success, and the same setup works on a native Windows XP. When configuring the Parallel Port to Bidirectional or ECP in the BIOS, the JTAG device is responsive but the operations fail. However, on EPP mode, when opening the Parallel Port the VM crashes with the following error:
