Corrupted display drawing with 3d acceleration

Host OS: Windows 10 x64 with Nvidia 1080Ti and 4K display

VMWare Workstation 15.5 Pro 15.5.2 build-15785246

Guest OS: Windows 10 x64

When [Accelerate 3d graphics] is enabled in Virtual Machine/Display settings the guest display is very snappy, but some GUI elements appear corrupted and mostly white.

For example Chrome tab previews:

When [Accelerate 3d graphics] is disabled the problem goes away but the guest display performance is much less satisfactory.

This behavior seems independent of the guest display resolution and the amount of memory allocated to the virtual display (Virtual Machine/Display/Graphics memory).

I searched everywhere and found nothing.

Attached virtual machine .vmx file.

I fixed this in Chrome going to:

chrome://flags

search for:

Choose ANGLE graphics backend

Change from Default to OpenGL
