Copying vmnet configuration between computers

We install Workstation in computer labs and are wondering if there is anyway to copy the vmnet configuration from one system to another? It would be nice if we could somehow deploy a configuration instead of having to manually setup the network configuration on each computer.

You can export the configuration with the Virtual Network Editor, then copy that file and import it on another computer.

But that is still manual, would be nice to be able to do that during a deployment or with some kind of script.

first you have set Virtual Network Editor to configure a network adapter what is the req, then wherever you need it just apply by script or on process vm deployment.

you can use this article for edit: https://kb.vmware.com/s/article/1018697.

you can switch the same network adapter VM's in between by selecting.

  1. Click VM > Settings > Add.
  2. In the Add Hardware Wizard, select a network adapter and click Next.
  3. Configure the network adapter in the various modes and configure its status.
  4. Click Finish.
  5. Click OK.
