Copying Guests between hosts

I've created some guests on Vista with v 6.0

Tried copying them to XP Prof with and starting up with v 6.0 but I get a message ' could not open - appear to be in use'

Is what i am trying possible ?

If not is it possible to copy guests between the same host - e.g. Vista > Vista?

delete the files and directories in the copied Vms directories that end in .lck

WS 6 has a little issue with cleaning up after itself (grin)
