Copy & Paste not working from Linux & Chrome Browser (host) to Win 7 (guest)

Hi All,

I'm running Linux Mint 17 with Workstation 10.0.3 and I'm having an issue with copy & paste. If I copy from my host's Chrome browser (Chrome 37) the text I copy is not available in my Windows 7 guest, what I have to do is copy in my Chrome browser, then open gedit, paste and copy again in gedit, which, as you can imagine, is a big pain.

Has anyone encounter this? is there a way to fix this?

Is it Both Linux Mint 17 and windows 7 quest is running on Workstation ?

Then its try to restart the OS and try again

See if this helps

Go to edit settings of the VM > Options tab > Guest Isolation > Enable the Copy and paste option

Can you try logging in to the host as the system (local) administrator user and right click on the Workstation - run as administrator.

Also log into the guest OS as local administrator and see if that works?

Thanks RaviMV, but none of your suggestion helps much, I already have the copy and paste enabled and it works with any application I've tried, except Chrome, I've seen now many people complaining of the same so I guess it's a known issue without a fix, see Copy and Paste issue - specific and wierd case

Exact same issue, Ubuntu 14.04, Worstation 11, any guest.
