If I have a guestOS (say Windows XP) will other remote computers have the connection to the guest OS? assuming the guest OS is bridged to its host OS?

Yes, if you use a bridged adapter for your virtual machines, other machines will be able to access your VM over the network. Just make sure that the Windows firewall on the guest allows traffic in, and you shouldn't have any problems.
