Connecting two ESXi on different hosts (VMware Workstation)

Hello,

I'm building my home lab to work on NSX. I have two servers with Xeon Processors. I use VMware workstation on the two servers. I want to be able to make the ESXi VMs on both servers to contact with each other. For example, I create VSAN while two ESXis are on a server and the third on is on another server. or install NSX components on one server and the other components of VSphere are on the other

Thanks

I do not see any theoretical problems as long as all VMs are connected to the same bridged LAN.

Practically it could well be, that you slow down your machines to a crawl, if all network traffic goes over the same NIC. Maybe you have to add additional NICs to avoid congestion especially if you try to run vMotion etc. in this test scenario.
