Dears,
I have VMware workstation on my laptop and I am running 2 ESXi hosts nested inside the VMware workstation.
I am running several VMs on these ESXi servers.
My question is how do I connect these VMs to internet ?
I am able to connect the VM running on the vmware workstation directly to the internet by changing network adapter to "NAT".
However I am not finding a way to connected VMs running on the ESXi host inside VMware workstation to the internet.
Please if you can help.
Thank you
Try to use Bridged mode" for the ESXi-VMs.
If you have a router in your bridged network that should solve all problems.
Thank you dear,
So you mean we can just add a NIC on the ESXi VM in bridged mode and this nic will be the uplink of the portgroup connected to that guest VM ?
Please tell me if this is what you mean.
Thank you again
Exactly.
The restricting factor here may be the policy restrictions of your physical router - but that can be solved.
