Hi
I would like to change the speed of virtual nic from 100Mbps to 1/10 Gbps
Thank you
Thank you
Do you have a physical network card that does 1gb or more, I'm pretty sure the virtual nics in workstation have no limit, that number I think generally mimics what the bridged network adapter has.
Read your vmx-file.
It should show you that your guest uses
ethernet0.virtualDev = "vlance"
That is a very old virtual nic suitable for Windows NT, Win9x and other very old guests like SCO ....
It is the only virtual networkadapter type that will display as a device with 100 Mbps
More modern nics will use "vmxnet", "vmxnet3", "e1000" or "e1000e"
Those devices will be displayed as capable of doing 1Gbps or 10 Gbps.
But when you consider to change keep in mind that the real numbers are a different story and are rather limitated by the CPU of the host.
