After creating and setting up a Centos 6/7 or RHel 6/7 image, converting it to be a template and then creating a new vm from that template, ifconfig -a now shows that there are lo and eth1 for the network interfaces rather than lo and eth0 as is created in the original vm and template.
I can rectify the issue by changing the configuration files but that gets to be very wearing when trying to spin up more than one image for testing issues.
How can I make VMWare behave ant not have eth1 created for the new images from the template?
Thanks.
