Centos 4.4 doesn't install in VMware Wkstation 6

I have been trying to install centos 4.4 in vmware wkstation 6.0 beta, and somehow it doesn't recoginize that it has a virtual hard drive to intall the centos operating system on it.

it comes with the message: ' not valid devices were found on where to install file systems"

Any advice on this issue ?? .. I would like very much to intall centos 4.4 linux , thanks.

What did you select as the guest OS? You probably created a BusLogic SCSI drive, which newer Linux versions no longer support. Either create an LsiLogic SCSI drive, or an IDE drive.

Select "Other Linux 2.6.x kernel" or "Red Hat Enterprise 4 Linux" as the OS type in the virtual machine wizard
