Cant ping Windows 10 (Host) from VMs machine

Hi,

I have a question:

I have VMware Workstation, Network adaptor on VMware is set to "Host Only". My host machine (physical) machine is Windows 10 Home.

My VMs are Windows 7 and Windows 10.

I can ping VMs from my host machine, but cant ping my host from VMs, why? I enabled "File and Printer Sharing (Echo Request - ICMPv4-In)" on both sides but still not working.

Hi,

Disable the firewall on your host and try again.

I did that but no luck. Here is the error:

Pinging 192.168.1.105 with 32 bytes of data:

PING: transmit failed. General failure.

PING: transmit failed. General failure.

PING: transmit failed. General failure.

PING: transmit failed. General failure.

Ping statistics for 192.168.1.105:

    Packets: Sent = 4, Received = 0, Lost = 4 (100% loss),

In bridged mode I can ping even with firewall.

I guess in Host only, we can not ping out side of VM.
