First time posting, tired of banging my head against the wall!
Ive created an isolated virtual test domain on my host Win8 PC using WorkStation 10. I am trying to get internet access from a test VM. The host accesses the internet through one pNic by entering the static IP below.
Host pNic
IP = 226.xx.141.30
SUB = 255.255.255.240
GW = 226.xx.141.17
DNS1 = 226.xx.124.17
DNS1 = 226.xx.124.18
Using Virtual Network Editor, I created vmNet2 and bridged it to my host's pNic. All VM's are connected to vmNet2, assuming this will allow the test lab to talk to the pNic and access the internet.
My FreeSCO vRouter (as well as all the other VM's), has only one vNic connected to vmNet2. The vRouter has two IP's setup, eth0 = 226.xx.141.30 and eth1 = 192.168.110.202. Eth0 & the pNic have the same ext. IP above. I assume this will give me internet by passing through FreeSCO's eth0, then vmNet2 to my pNic. (I think this is where I go wrong!)
Eth1 is setup with an internal IP of 192.168.110.202 and allows me to talk to the other VM's in the lab. However, to test internet on a VM I enter the following IP and get nothing.
Test VM
IP = 192.168.110.201
SUB = 255.255.255.0
GW = 192.168.110.202 (eth1 of FreeSCO)
DNS = 192.168.110.201
Can anybody tell me what I am doing wrong?
Thanks in advance!
