Cannot start the VMware USB arbitration service

We have a PC running VMware Workstation 12.5.2 on Windows 10 PRO 64bit, and we are getting the following error:

Windows could not start the VMware USB Arbitration Service service on Local Computer - Error 1: Incorrect Function.

I have been searching, but I am not finding anything related to that error in relation to VMware.

Any suggestions?

I have same problem, after reinstalling 14.1.1-7528167 and trying VMware Knowledge Base issue persists on Windows 10 Pro system.

Actually running the repair option not uninstall and install seems to have fixed the problem.

I have this problem in the 16 pro using surface. I followed all the thing that said in here and still can not start it.
