Cannot start VM - Snapshot files were moved

I had a large number of snapshot files (Windows XP 2 -000004-s008.vmdk etc) but only one snapshot. The snapshots were taking up so much space that I thought if I moved the files and my VM ware would still work, then i wouldn't need the files and i could delete them. Although my VM worked fine after I moved the files, when I started it for the first time after this move, i receive a message that VM is unable to open the files i moved. Now i can't move those files back to their original location because Finder does allow me to get into the VM files. I moved the files originally while on the VM in windows explorer which allowed me to get into the VM files.

Any ideas on how i can move these files back or restore my Virtual Machine?

Thanks

Hi,

Just delete the VMware RAM file. Go to your VM machine folder and, look for a file have icon (Pause) like ram file, you need to delete that file it is similler in size of your ram assigned to VM.
