------------------------------
VMware Workstation 9
Host WIN-7 x64
Guest Linux Debian 6 x64 (Testing and Stable) + SLES, SLED 10 and 11 x64
------------------------------
all my linux VMs (debian, suse) cannot run # vmware-toolbox &
it gives me
# No such file or directory
Please see attachment toolbox.png
My intent is (like in past versions) to see vmware_toolbox start menu GUI icon, where is possible to sync, and other options etc.
Please anyone know what can cause this, or is this a bug?
If so, is there some workaround to fix this?
Thanks in advance!
I've read in other threads that VMware has removed the VMware Tools GUI in VMware Workstation 9 and that command no longer exists although the vmware-toolbox-cmd does.
Same here. Ubuntu 12.04.1 guest.

For peoples reference I just located the VMware documentation on the new VMware Tools in WS 9. Extremely complete!
Thanks everyone!
Much appreciated!
Found the very same thread in parallel called "Missing VMware Tools settings dialog"
Resolution: It has been moved from the guest OS to the VM settings dialog at the host.

PS.
Also, to get info about VMware tools version installed:
#vmware-toolbox-cmd -v
