Hi
I cannot ping my host from my guest, allthough my guest can ping host
and both can access router/intenet fine. I have disabled NAT and DHCP
and configured VMNET0 to bridge to my guests wireless network card. All
other vmnets are disabled.
Any idea why Torres cant ping home?
Thanks

On further investigation, I can ping home using the ip address but not the host name. I suppose this points to name resolution issue?
Any ideas?
You are relying on one of the machines becoming the master browser and handling name resolution.
Since you are using static IP addresses, I would recommend putting the host name and IP addresses in the hosts file, more reliable.
/etc/hosts for Linux, \Windows\system32\drivers\etc\hosts

You can use "nslookup" on any host connecting to the DNS server and check if there's an address record entry for your host as you said that pinging the IP address works.
