Cannot Browse Web on all Vista VM's

This is a strange one.

I am running Workstation 10.0.1 Build 1379776

My Host System is Windows 7 Ultimate with Service Pack 1 (all Available updates)

I have a number of VM's that I use for testing. (all the way back to windows 3.1 and forward to 8.1)

I use these VM's as a baseline  (I keep them updated)

and when I need to test something I make a linked clone and run my tests

Today I was going through and running windows update on my VM's and I discovered that my "Vista" VM's cannot get to the internet.

(Vista Home Premium, Vista Business, Vista Ultimate)

They can "Ping" numeric addresses on the internet but not names (ie  pinging www.yahoo.com does not work and pinging 98.139.180.149 does)

Oddly I cannot browse to http://98.139.180.149 either.

I can both ping and browse to the addresses in my host Windows 7 machine.

My other VM's are working perfectly, Windows 2000, XP, 7, 8 and 8.1

I have tried reinstalling VM tools.  resetting the network adapters. (all my VM's are set for NAT)  and I even tried switching the networking to bridge to see if that had any affect (No).

I even went so far as to recreate a new Vista Business VM from scratch. and I have the same issue (so that tells me it isn't a windows update or mis-configured or corrupt networking)

I have not updated VMWare recently and the updater says  I have the latest version.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you.

Thanks for the reply.  As it turned out I started having difficulty with the Windows 7 VM's as well.

I decided to uninstall Workstation. uninstall all the adapters and delete all left over files and registry keys.

So far after a reinstall of VM workstation my vista VM's can access the internet as before.

I am going to assume something became corrupt in the VM Workstation application or in the Network adapters

Cheers
