Can you make VMware Workstation compatible with Hyper-V / Docker for Windows

VMware workstation does not work with Hyper-V installed / active. Could you make that work in a new version? At the moment you cannot use Docker for Windows on the same machine as VMware Workstation, which is really shame when you depend on both

Hello Morten,

Maybe this is a workaround GitHub - ygoe/HyperVSwitch: Hyper-V Switch – A simple GUI to enable or disable Hyper-V without unins...

you cannot run hyper-v and VMware Workstation active on one system.

What you can do is the following

- Create a VM in workstation

- Add the following setting in the VMX "virtualHW.productCompatibility = "hosted"

- Install server 2012 or 2016 with the Hyper-v role installed in the created VM by step 1

Please mark this question as helpful, if this solved your problem Smiley Wink

Good luck.

I fixed it by adding the Hyper-V roles, reboot, then removing the Hyper-V roles and another reboot.
